Hi, I work as a lecturer at the University of Oviedo (Spain), where I teach Statistics and Econometrics. I have developed some applications for my students using VB, Vb.Net and Addins in Excel.

I have heard about this community thanks to the equation editor, which is an excellent program. That is the reason why I would like to know more about other projects which are being developed.

Best regards,

Hi, thanks for joining.

Have you seen our Excel Equation renderer. Would this be off use to you or your students?

We are actually developing a number of tools along the LaTeX equation theme, i.e.
  • A word addin to convert LaTeX equations into an embedded graphic. In essence link to the web equation editor. You may question the logic of doing such a thing, given that MS Word has a good equation editor - however we've been asked several times for this by people who prefer to use LaTeX.
  • A much more exciting new tool that we'll shortly be releasing, is a service that coverts LaTeX into C. [We've about 1 more month of development]

We've a dozen other products in the line also - but I prefer to keep these under wraps for now.

However, I wonder if you would be able to help. Two areas:
  • We need a Spanish language conversion for the equation editor
  • I note your experience with VB, .NET and Excel. Our .NET addins that we're developing are taking longer to develop that we had envisaged. The route problem is find a nice way to wrap C++ classes into a .NET package. Would you be able to help develop these. Do you know any PHP? If nothing else perhaps you can help us with testing.

Look forward to your input. Best wishes will.
