I am trying to launch my home base business. I have a web site I bought a few months ago, and a company told me if I advertise their products through my web site and when some one makes a purchase I will get commission. But I don"t know how to paste the link to my web site, can you help me?

The company you're advertising should give you a short piece of code, usually in the form of

\<script\>
//Something or other here
\</script\>

You should be able to just paste this into the body section of any normal html page. Remember to stay in html mode.

If you're using someone like 'commission junction' (as in http://www.cj.com ), then my advise is don't bother. You'll make absolutely zero from these website unless your website is fantastically popular - i.e you'll need 10000s hits each day. The trouble for you is someone has to go directly from your website to this other company and then buy the product. If they return later to that company without first going to you, then you get nothing. Therefore this approach only really works for large website which the user is frequently visiting anyway, i.e. facebook or flickr.
