I would like to help program an artificial intelligence bot,that could make an "intelligent" conversation with someone else; but it's original source code should be open to the public so it can be easily modifiable.

A very challenging project. Especially interested in the AI that goes into this. Please keep me informed on your progress and I'll help where I can - though no real expertise in this subject :(
