"503 - Service not available" errors

Hi --

I'm seeing numerous 503 errors for requests to the latex.codecogs.com image generator. For example, this URL:

http://latex.codecogs.com/gif.latex?%5Clatex

returns a 503 error most of the time. Occasionally it returns a successful 200 response. I just ran a series of 100 requests for that same URL; 89 of those failed and only 11 were successful.

We experienced similar problems last weekend, though at least then there was a message on the CodeCogs website saying that an upgrade was in progress (not that an upgrade excuses the days-long outage we saw last week). This weekend I can't find any indication of a planned outage or even any hint that CodeCogs is aware of the problem and working on it.

Can anyone from CodeCogs shed some light on this situation?
